Thatsit™
Peter Opsvik, 1991
Thatsit™ is an evolution of the original kneeling chair, Variable™. It is an adjustable kneeling chair with back support. Featuring a larger frame and adjustment possibilities, it ensures a comfortable sitting experience also for those of a taller stature. Thatsit™ is designed for seamless transitions between positions, providing support without ever restricting movement. It is an ideal task chair for long work and study sessions, or whenever you need to stay seated for longer periods of time.
Invites you to lean both in and back
With its concave backrest and curved wooden runners, Thatsit™ creates balance in all postures, offering support when leaning back, and shin support when working at a table in front of you. Adjustable features allows you to find the setting that best supports you, featuring a wider seat, a backrest, adjustable in both height and depth, and adjustable shin rests.

Materials
Thatsit™ is made from beech plywood. The plywood is treated through an iterative molding process where several veneer layers are combined and glued. Through the application of combined heat and pressure, the layers are given their characteristic shape. All wooden parts are flexible and strong, ensuring a sitting experience that is never static. For a beautiful and durable finish, our plywood is covered with an ash top veneer, manually sanded and coated with water-based lacquers.
